Reliable illumination is a safety requirement on job sites, mining operations, and large-scale events. At DIY POWER, every lighting tower component, from the light source to the mast mechanism, is held to the same standard we apply to our generator sets: precision, durability, and adaptability.
Each unit integrates several precision-engineered subsystems:
Power source: engines from Kubota, Perkins, Yanmar, and Kohler, paired with brushless, self-excitation, maintenance-free alternators that deliver stable 50/60Hz single-phase output even under fluctuating loads.
Lifting mast: available in manual, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic configurations, with total heights from 6 to 10 meters.
Chassis: base-mounted, handcart, self-propelled, self-loading/unloading, and trailer-mounted options, matched to terrain and deployment method.
Control module: industry-standard Smartgen and Deep Sea controllers for reliable engine and lighting oversight.
Enclosure: rainproof, silent-type housing that protects internal components while keeping noise output low.
Our engineering team recently completed specialized technical training on lighting systems, covering light source performance, luminous flux, and beam engineering. The goal was practical: customer questions about light output and coverage should be answered with real technical depth, not a spec-sheet reading.
That investment is reflected in the product itself:
Light sources: Metal Halide (HID), LED, and Halogen, giving customers a choice between cost, efficiency, and light quality.
Wattage configurations ranging from 4 × 350W to 6 × 500W LED, with illumination coverage from 5–7 acres (4,000–6,000 m²) up to 10–15 acres (8,000–12,000 m²).
Luminaire types including spotlights, floodlights, and balloon lights, selected according to throw distance and diffusion requirements.
Adjustable mast height for optimal elevation on any terrain.
360° rotation with adjustable pitch angle, allowing full directional control without repositioning the unit.
Customizable beam angles, tight and focused for targeted work areas or wide and diffuse for open-area coverage.
5-point manual outriggers with jack-down support for stable deployment on uneven ground.
Every site has different demands, so DIY POWER lighting towers can be further configured with a range of optional add-ons:
Spare tire |
Off-road tires |
Fire extinguisher |
Anti-slip device |
Height-adjustable tow hitch |
Remote control and remote start/stop |
External battery start interface |
Scheduled automatic start and shutdown |
Low-temperature start function |
Light-sensitive auto start and shutdown |
Extenal battery start interface |
High-speed torque shaft trailer |
These options allow the same base unit to be tailored for remote sites, extreme climates, or fully unattended operation.
A generator set keeps the lights on. A lighting tower determines where that light goes, how far it reaches, and how well it holds up through a full shift in the field. That is the standard DIY POWER continues to build toward: equipment that performs when it matters, not just equipment that meets a spec sheet.
